Terms of Service

This site is operated by the entity identified in section 12 (“we”, “us”). By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. What this service is

TexasGunFinder is a search index. We collect publicly available listing information from third-party classifieds websites and forums (“Source Sites”), organize it, and make it searchable. Every search result links to the Source Site that published the listing.

We are not a marketplace, dealer, broker, auctioneer, escrow agent or payment processor. We do not own, hold, inspect, ship, sell or offer for sale any item that appears in search results, and we are not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller.

2. We do not verify listings

Listing information is supplied by third parties and reproduced substantially as published. We do not verify the accuracy of any listing, the condition or legality of any item, the identity of any seller, or whether any seller is entitled to sell what they have listed. Some listing fields are normalized by automated tooling and may contain errors.

You are responsible for evaluating any listing and any counterparty yourself. Treat everything you find here as an unverified pointer to a third-party page.

3. Your legal obligations

Federal law and the law of Texas govern the purchase, sale, possession and transfer of firearms and related items. Those laws apply to you and to any seller in full, exactly as they would if you had found the listing without us. Nothing on this site alters, waives or substitutes for any legal requirement.

You agree that you will not use this site:

  • to acquire or transfer any item in violation of any federal, state or local law;
  • if you are prohibited by law from possessing a firearm or ammunition;
  • to facilitate a transfer to any person you know or have reason to believe is prohibited;
  • to scrape, mirror, resell or systematically copy the index or any part of it;
  • to interfere with the operation, security or availability of the site.

You are responsible for compliance. If you are unsure whether a transaction is lawful, consult a licensed dealer or an attorney before proceeding — not us.

4. Links to Source Sites

Search results link to websites we do not control. We do not endorse, sponsor or vouch for any Source Site, seller or listing, and outbound links are marked accordingly. Once you leave, that site's terms and privacy policy govern, not ours. Any dispute arising from a transaction is between you and the seller.

5. Intellectual property and removal

Listing text and images remain the property of their respective owners; we index and link rather than republish in full. If you own rights in indexed material, or you operate a Source Site and want your content excluded, see our removal and DMCA page. We honor robots.txt and we act on opt-out requests without requiring a formal notice.

6. Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. Index coverage is incomplete by nature: listings may be stale, sold, withdrawn or missing entirely.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, legality or availability of listing information.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of or relating to your use of the site, any listing, any Source Site, or any transaction or interaction with any seller — including any act or omission of a third party.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of this site and its members, officers and agents from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

10. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Exclusive venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts of the State of Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
