Texas Gun Finder Search

About

Why is it so hard to buy and sell guns?

Most classifieds charge a subscription. Gun stores offer 50% of used market value. Sellers and buyers are spread across hundreds of websites. No one wins.

So we built the thing we wanted: one search box that covers every Texas classifieds site and forum at once. Type what you are looking for, filter by city and price, and go straight to the listing on whichever site published it. No account required to search. No subscription. Free.

What we actually do

We are a search index, in the same sense that a flight meta-search is an index. Our crawler reads publicly visible listings from the Texas sites and forums below, normalizes them into one consistent shape, and makes them searchable together. That is the entire product.

When you click a result you leave for the source site. The seller is theirs, the listing is theirs, the conversation is theirs. We are not a party to it and we never see it.

What we deliberately do not do

This list is not modesty. Each item is a deliberate choice about what this site is, and we would rather be explicit than have you guess.

Buying and selling firearms is governed by federal law and by Texas law, and both apply to you and the seller exactly as they would if you had found the listing yourself. Nothing on this site changes any of that, and nothing here is legal advice.

Where the listings come from

We index these sources today, 94,923 listings in total.

How we crawl

Slowly, and only over pages that are already public. We rate-limit every request, we store listing metadata and a thumbnail rather than reproducing listing text, and every result links back to the source. We do not re-crawl continuously.

We would much rather be asked to stop than be blocked, so the fastest way to reach us is email — a person reads it, and we act on removal requests without argument.

If you operate a source site and you want your listings out of the index, say so and we will remove them — no lawyer required, no argument. Send a removal request and we will action it.

Who runs this

You can reach a person at [email protected]. Removal requests from source sites go to the front of the queue.
