Removal requests & DMCA
If you want something out of our index, we will take it out. You do not need a lawyer, a formal notice, or a reason.
Fastest route
Use the form below. It reaches us directly and we read every submission.
A person reads these. We aim to act within 2 business days, and site-wide exclusions are applied immediately on request.
If you operate a source site
We index publicly visible listings from third-party classifieds sites and forums, and every
result links back to you. We honor robots.txt, we
rate-limit our crawler, and it identifies itself honestly rather than impersonating a browser
— precisely so you can find us.
You can have us stop in any of these ways, and none of them requires a legal threat:
- Use the form below. It goes straight to the people who run the crawler.
-
Block us in robots.txt. Disallow our user
agent,
TexasGunFinderBot, and we stop on the next crawl.
Removal is permanent unless you tell us otherwise, and we keep a record of the request so a later crawler change cannot quietly undo it.
If you are a seller
Your listing lives on the source site, not here. Deleting or marking it sold there is normally enough — our index refreshes weekly and the entry disappears. If it lingers, or you want it gone from search results immediately, send us the link below.

Formal DMCA notice
If you prefer to proceed formally under 17 U.S.C. § 512, send a written notice to our designated agent containing:
- a physical or electronic signature of the owner or an authorized agent;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- identification of the material to be removed and enough information to locate it (a URL);
- your address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Designated agent
Our designated agent details are being finalised. In the meantime, use the form above — we action removal requests regardless of whether they arrive as a formal notice.
Counter-notice
If material was removed in error you may submit a counter-notice under § 512(g) to the same agent, including your contact details, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district.
Knowingly misrepresenting material as infringing carries liability for damages under § 512(f). That said — if you simply want out of the index, the form above is faster and we will not make you prove anything.
